OUR SERVICES

F.A.Q

  • OPT (Optional Practical Training) is a U.S. immigration program that allows F-1 student visa holders to work in a role directly related to their field of study for up to 12 months after completing their training.

  • The Employment Authorization Document (EAD) is a physical card issued by USCIS proving you are legally authorized to work in the United States during your OPT period.

  • You may be eligible if you study under an F-1 visa, attend an SEVP-certified school, maintain status, and complete an aviation program such as CPL, IR, ME, or CFI/CFII/MEI.

  • Yes. Your school's DSO must recommend your OPT in SEVIS. We coordinate directly with your school to ensure this is done correctly, among other documents and forms to prepare on our side.

  • Most applications take about 90 days to process, though timing may vary depending on USCIS workload.

  • Eligible roles include CFI, CFII, MEI, ground instructor, operations support, FBO positions related to aviation, and certain pilot roles such as aerial survey, ferry pilot, or banner tow.

  • No. OPT authorizes you to work, but you must still be hired by an employer. We help coordinate interview opportunities, but hiring depends on your performance and the school’s standards.

  • Yes. OPT allows you to work for any U.S. employer as long as the job is directly related to your aviation training.

  • Yes. OPT permits full-time employment (40+ hours per week) in eligible aviation roles.

  • Travel is not recommended unless you have a valid F-1 visa, a travel-endorsed I-20, and in some cases a job offer letter.

  • USCIS charges a $520 filing fee, paid directly to the U.S. government. Our service fee does not include government filing fees.

  • Our consulting fee covers the entire OPT process. Pricing varies depending on your case and school partnerships. A detailed quote is provided during the free 20-minute evaluation meeting.

  • Yes. Your F-1 visa only allows you to enter the United States; it does not determine your ability to stay or work once inside the country. As long as your OPT and EAD are valid and you comply with reporting requirements, you may work legally with an expired visa. However, you cannot re-enter the U.S. with an expired visa and would need a new F-1 visa if you travel abroad during OPT.

  • OPT is specifically designed for F-1 visa holders. M-1 students have a different type of practical training with strict limitations: it is not OPT, it is allowed only after program completion, it requires completing at least 2 years of study, and it is limited to a maximum of 6 months. It is more restricted, but we also assist you for the Employment Authorization under M-1 Visa if necessary.
